I am a Senior Lady !

Hey there blog friends, todays post is a quick challenge card I made for the ten minute craft dash. I feel like lately I have been partaking in these challenges for a few reasons... other than the fact that the craft dash has an amazing design team... I find that having a ten minute time limit really helps me get motivated to craft after exhausting training days. . . for those of you who dont know, I am a now US figure skating GOLD medalist competitor. This past weekend I took my last and final test in my sport , its the highest accomplishment and qualifies you to compete at the regional event at the Senior Ladies level. Anyway it was amazing, I had taken this test back in august of 2012 and Failed.... It was just too soon after my June 17th heart procedure and my stamina with nerves got the best of me... this time around I passed with flying colors it was a life defining moment that I will never forget... I wanted to share it with you all..

anyway I had made this card a few days before my event but because of all the chaos am only posting it now... It took me 9 Min and 52 seconds... I was sweating bullets because I did not think I was going to be able to finish it within the ten minutes but I did. I think it took so long because of all the die cuts I cut and embossing... Oh and I had to stamp the Thinking of you stamp twice... since I accidentally stamped the sentiment off the die cut area. Okay well here it is. I must say this color combination is new to me but i do like it... Oh and to save time I cheated and only stamped the edges of the background paper since it was going to be hidden by the second embossed card stock layer. 

Glitter !!!

Hey there, just a quick post ... a quick and clean card that only took 7 minutes and 32 seconds to make. I made it for the Ten minute CRAFT DASH The hardest part was peeling off the backing of the glitter strips *it can be tricky* especially under pressure. Ok well I love the clean line and the pop of the glitter against the simple black lettering. I am going home Friday for the weekend and this card just fit my mood !!! Hope you like...
On a side note forgive the picture and its horrid lighting I need a camera... I'm tired of these gross pictures, any recommendations???????

Runway Challenge

Hey there, Okay so I am thrilled that I have been steadily blogging for a few weeks now. I am back in my groove. I just recently received my new Ice skates... they are sooo pretty I have to share.. here they are ---------->
 Anyway these beauts are allowing me to skate much faster without all the extra spent energy and the boots are nice and stiff which means my ankles are not over working anymore but it also means lots lof blisters and arch pain but its worth it since that only lasts a week or so =)  Im really working hard to break them in since my competition is about 3 weeks away. Im excited , I will post some pictures of the competition soon.

Anyway, here is what I really wanted to share. I have tried another challenge over at the Runway Inspired Challenge blog. I really must say that I love this challenge blog. I think partly because I love fashion, but also because the pictures they use as inspiration are just my style. For this new challenge they are celebrating a fellow design team members babies birth and to help celebrate was an adorable baby fashion picture from Baby Marc Jacobs. How adorable is she?
